Researchbods Tabita Razaila

Being a Bod…

“I’ve been working for Researchbods for over 6 years now, and have been promoted from a Project Executive to Head of Project Management. Everyday is different, tackling projects, working with a wide variety of interesting clients and across the internal teams too. I also really enjoy managing the project team and helping them grow and develop their skill set. The best bit about being a Bod is the people, we really do work with the best!”

Tabita Razaila

Head of operations.

Researchbods Lizzie Corner

“I’ve been a Bod for just over 4 and a half years now. I love how varied my role is. My day always starts with a team meeting then I could be working with business stakeholders to identify new feature requests, working with the development team to refine stories, or reviewing and testing completed work to ensure it meets user requirements. It’s great to see improvements that I have worked on get released to the platform and know that I’m making a difference to the end-users. The best bit of being a Bod for me are the exciting opportunities that come from being part of a growing company and that as we grow it stills feel like a really tight knit team.”

Lizzie Corner

Product owner.

Researchbods Sarah Askew

“I became a Bod in December 2018. My days and weeks can be so diverse. I can go from working on proposals and pitches for new and existing clients, developing creds and cases studies, training internal teams on new techniques, demo’ing solutions to clients, thought leadership research or conference papers. I also sit on many internal working groups to help drive new offerings, cross functional working and product improvements. The nature of innovation is that you always need to have your eye on the next thing, and many of the initiatives you begin to explore won’t work out – so tenacity, positivity and a short memory help! The best bit of being a Bod is the culture/atmosphere and working for a brand that I really believe in.”

Sarah Askew

Innovation director.

Researchbods Robert Crossley

“My role is busy, interesting and enjoyable. The variety of work I’m involved in has been great. One day I could be looking into high tech solutions for our meetings rooms, onboarding new products and integrating them into our estate or helping find suppliers for our offices abroad. The best bit of being a Bod is the supportive, friendly and encouraging environment. Everybody is extremely knowledgeable in their respective fields. Researchbods also offers great benefits like health care, discounted shopping, tech purchase schemes (which is great for a IT nerd like me!) and flexible working. The company genuinely cares about its employees and it shows.”

Rob Crossley

It platforms manager.

Researchbods vonnie voong

“I’ve been at Researchbods for almost 4 years now and it’s one of the best places I’ve worked. We started as a very small team, but as it’s grown over the years it’s only gotten better. My fellow colleagues are incredibly kind and some of the most intelligent I’ve worked with.”

Vonnie Voong

Application developer.

Researchbods Michael Constantinou

“There is a great team spirit here and fantastic opportunities to push yourself and you’ll be supported at each step.  I’d thoroughly recommend Researchbods as a great place to work.”

Market Insight Researcher

Job overview

About the role.

The Market Insight team works at the core of the marketing team, conducting research and analysis to support central marketing functions as well as delivering insight solutions to stakeholders throughout Luminate Education Group.

We conduct a huge range of activities, from large market research studies to support new courses and provisions, to analysing web and advertising activity to make sure we’re really connecting with our audiences. We pride ourselves on providing integrated insight, synthesising qualitative and quantitative information from a range of sources (be that government data sets, Google Analytics, or a focus group we conducted) that gets to the core of a problem and reveals opportunities that otherwise would have been missed.

We use a range of technology from Google Analytics and Business Intelligence software (such as Power BI) to more traditional market research techniques such as surveys and focus groups.

The ethos behind the team is driving improvement by ensuring decisions are insight led and opportunities are seized in the most effective way possible. We apply this ethos to ourselves and are always exploring new ways to learn more about our markets and audiences, whether that be investing in new products/methodologies or training the team on the latest technologies.

What You Will Do

You will be doing the work to pull out all those insights from research. That may be conducting and analysing split tests on Meta Ads to explore what kinds of advert best connects with an audience, or exploring admissions data to expose new opportunities to improve the customer journey.

Regardless of what project you’re working on you’ll receive regular training and support on digital and data analytics software, as well as market research techniques, which will prepare you to get stuck into a project.

You will work with stakeholders from across Luminate Education Group, from college principles and heads of departments to internal teams such as the digital marketing team or our creative team

Some typical work you might do is:

  • Analysing digital marketing and web data to understand the success of campaigns and find learnings for future campaigns, using tools such as Power BI, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Google Sheets, Google Big Query, etc.
  • Conduct focus groups and design surveys to understand how our many audiences think and how we can align with their needs
  • Analyse the admissions journey to find opportunities to improve conversion rates and make the customer experience as positive as possible, often using Tableau to conduct the analysis
  • …. and a whole lot more!

You love to get to the heart of a problem, using lots of different techniques to get to a solution and not stopping until you’re satisfied with the result. Once you have that answer, you’ll help colleagues understand what it means and how to apply it for maximum impact across a range of contexts.

Able to approach a piece of work from many different angles, you’ll think strategically to find the best approach, taking into account the impact of the work and what the client’s true requirements are.

Most importantly, you will be a curious person who is as comfortable tackling a complex problem as you are planning a large project. Not put off by having to learn new technologies or employ unfamiliar methods, you’ll remain focussed on the solution, able to utilise the skills of and work with a range of different teams and colleagues to deliver the best possible result.

There are plenty of benefits available to our staff members, here are just a few:

  • Annual leave entitlement  - If you work full time, you'll get at least 27 days holiday plus bank holidays and up to 5 discretionary closure days at Christmas (pro rata for part time staff).
  • Support Staff 27 days (increasing to 32 days after 5 years service)
  • Academic 37 days
  • Senior Management 37 days
  • Generous Pension schemes
  • Teachers’ Pension Scheme
  • Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Memberships and discounts -  employees can sign up to various membership cards and discount schemes such as TOTUM card (formerly NUS card).
  • Travel and commuting -  discounted travel available through Metro card, Northern Rail, First Bus, Arriva Bus and Cycle to work schemes.
  • Learning and development opportunities -  including staff development days
  • Employee wellbeing initiatives
  • Flexible and hybrid working opportunities -  this will vary depending on role requirements
