ਦਿਵਾਲੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਆਏ ਸਾਲ ਕਤੱਕ ਦੀ ਮੱਸਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਦਿਵਾਲੀ ਹਿੰਦੂਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਮ ਚੰਦਰ ਜੀ 14 ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਬਨਵਾਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਯੁਧਿਆ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਆਏ ਸਨ। ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਛੇਵੇਂ ਗੁਰੂ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਗਵਾਲੀਅਰ ਦੇ ਕਿਲੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆਏ ਸਨ।

ਦਿਵਾਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਕਈ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਕਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਫ਼ਾਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਦਿਵਾਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਬਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਰੌਣਕ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਬੱਚੇ ਬਜ਼ਾਰੋਂ ਮਠਿਆਈ ਅਤੇ ਪਟਾਕੇ ਖਰੀਦ ਕੇ ਲਿਆਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਰੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਮੋਮਬੱਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ। ਮੰਦਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਦਵਾਰਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਦੀਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਮਬੱਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੀਪਮਾਲਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੀ ਦਿਵਾਲੀ ਦੇਖਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸਰੋਵਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਛਾਵਾ ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਟੁੰਬਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਦਿਵਾਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਲੋਕ ਨਵੇਂ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨਵੇਂ ਬਰਤਨ ਖਰੀਦਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਬੱਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਪਟਾਕੇ ਚਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਚਾਰੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਪਟਾਕਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਠੂਹ-ਠਾਹ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਅਸਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਡਦੀਆਂ ਆਤਸ਼ਬਾਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਬੜੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਲਗਦੀ ਹੈ। ਛੋਟੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਗਦੀਆਂ ਫੁਲਝੜੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੀ ਨਜ਼ਾਰਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਟਾਕੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਚਲਾਉਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਗ ਵੀ ਲਗ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਹਿੰਦੂ ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਲੱਛਮੀ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕਈ ਲੋਕ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਬੂਹੇ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੇ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਲੱਛਮੀ ਦੇਵੀ ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਸਾਰੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਚੱਕਰ ਲਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੀ ਦਿਵਾਲੀ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ :- ਦਾਲ ਰੋਟੀ ਘਰ ਦੀ, ਦਿਵਾਲੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੀ

ਵਿਗਿਆਨਿਕ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਹੱਤਵ ਹੈ। ਬਰਸਾਤ ਦਾ ਮੌਸਮ ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਆਗਮਨ ਤੇ ਸਮਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਚੁਕਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰਸਤੇ ਖੁਲ੍ਹ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਪਾਰ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਦੀ ਨਾਲਿਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹੜਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਉਤਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹਲਕੀ ਹਲਕੀ ਸਰਦੀ ਪੈਣੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਲੋਕ ਹਲਕੇ-ਹਲਕੇ ਊਨੀ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਪਹਿਨਣੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਮੌਸਮ ਸੁਹਾਵਣਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਲਾਭੇ ਭਰੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਫ਼ਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਇਕ ਭਾਰੀ ਲਾਭ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਘਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਫਾਈ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਮਿੱਠੀ-ਮਿੱਠੀ ਠੰਡ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਨਿਹਰੀ ਧੁੱਪ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਉਣੀ ਦੀ ਫਸਲ ਵੀ ਘਰ ਆਉਣੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਿਆਰੀਆਂ ਕਈ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਦੋ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਧਨ ਰਸ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਦੀਵੇ ਜਗਾ ਕੇ ਰਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਯਮਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਲੋਕ ਨਵੇਂ-ਨਵੇਂ ਬਰਤਨ ਖਰੀਦਦੇ ਹਨ। ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹੀ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹਲਵਾਈ ਲੋਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ-ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਿਠਾਈਆਂ ਸਜਾ ਕੇ ਆਕੜ ਕੇ ਬੈਠਦੇ ਹਨ। ਲੋਕ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਘੁੰਮ ਫਿਰ ਕੇ ਕਦੀ ਮਿਠਾਈਆਂ ਖਰੀਦਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਦੀ ਲਕਸ਼ਮੀ ਗਨੇਸ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਖਰੀਦਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਤਾਂ ਬਸ ਪਟਾਕਿਆ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਹੀ ਮਾਤਾ-ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਤੰਗ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਲਕਸ਼ਮੀ-ਪੂਜਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਬਾਅਦ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਨੇਰਿਆਂ ਤੇ, ਚੁਰਾਹਿਆਂ ਤੇ, ਮੰਦਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੀਵੇ ਜਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਬਸ ਪਟਾਖਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਲੱਗੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਅਨਾਰ ਚਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ , ਕੋਈ ਸੁਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਚੱਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਫੁੱਲਝੜੀ। ਚਾਰੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਲੋਕ ਮਿਠਾਈਆਂ ਖਾਂਦੇ, ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਮਨਾਉਂਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ-ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਧਾਈਆਂ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਜੂਆ ਖੇਡਦੇ ਅਤੇ । ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਪੀਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਦੀ ਪਵਿਤੱਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਭੰਗ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਿਉਹਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਹੱਤਵ ਘੱਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਵੀ ਦੀਵਾਲਾ ਕੱਢ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਸਫਾਈ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਥਾ

ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਫਾਈ ਕਰਨੀ ਆਰੰਭ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਫਾਈ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਥਾ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਸਫਾਈ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਥੇ ਲਕਸ਼ਮੀ ਦਾ ਨਿਵਾਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਘਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੰਗ-ਰੋਗਨ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਖੱਡਾਂ-ਖੂੰਜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਫਾਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕਈ ਲੋਕ ਨਵੇਂ ਬਰਤਨ ਤੇ ਕਪੜੇ ਦੀ ਖਰੀਦਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਲੋਕ ਬੜੇ ਹੀ ਚਾਅ ਤੇ ਉਤਸਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਿਆਰੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੱਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਬਜ਼ਾਰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਖਰੀਦਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਬਜ਼ਾਰ ਨਵੀਂ ਵਿਆਹੀ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਸਜਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਲੋਕ ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਠਿਆਈਆਂ ਤੇ ਪਟਾਕੇ ਖਰੀਦਦੇ ਹਨ। ਆਪਣੇ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕੀ ਮਿੱਤਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਤੋਹਫੇ ਤੇ ਮਠਿਆਈਆਂ ਭੇਟ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦੀ ਰਾਤ

ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦੀ ਰਾਤ ਦਾ ਨਜ਼ਾਰਾ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਰ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹਨੇ ਰਾ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੀ ਚਾਰੋਂ ਪਾਸੇ ਦੀਵੇ , ਮੋਮਬੱਤੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦੇ ਬਲਬਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਇੰਜ ਫੈਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਮੰਨੋ ਦਿਨ ਚੜ ਆਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ। ਚਾਰੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਪਟਾਕਿਆ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਆਤਸ਼ਬਾਜੀ ਦਾ ਨਜ਼ਾਰਾ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹੀ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ। ਚਾਰੋਂ ਪਾਸੇ ਰੌਣਕ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇੰਝ ਜਾਪਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਆਪ ਪਟਾਕਿਆ ਤੇ ਆਤਸ਼ਬਾਜੀ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਹਰ ਬੰਦਾ ਖਿੜੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਹੱਸ ਕੇ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਲੋਕ ਮੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਦਵਾਰਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਦੀਵੇ ਤੇ ਮੋਮਬੱਤੀਆਂ ਜਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦਾ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਸਾਡੀ ਸਭਿਅਤਾ ਤੇ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਸਾਡੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਏਕਤਾ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਹੈ। ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਰਤਵਾਸੀ ਚਾਹੇ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਹੋਣ ਜਾਂ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਜਾਂ ਈਸਾਈ ਸਭ ਇਸ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੜੀ ਹੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਧਰਮ ਤੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਏਕਤਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਇਹ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਸਦਾ ਸਭ ਲਈ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਤੰਦਰੁਸਤੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਰਹੇ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਅਯੁੱਧਿਆ ਵਾਪਸ ਆ ਗਿਆ, ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਅਯੁੱਧਿਆ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ, ( ਅਯੁੱਧਿਆ ਦੇ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ) ਨੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਅਯੁੱਧਿਆ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਉਣ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰੇ ਅਯੁੱਧਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਦੀਪਕ ਨਾਲ਼ ਰੋਸ਼ਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ, ਉਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਇਹ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਖਾਸ ਗੱਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਿਰਫ ਦੀਵੇ ਜਗਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ, ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਪਟਾਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਵਾ ਪ੍ਰਦੂਸ਼ਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਲੋਕ ਦੀਵੇ ਜਗਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਇਜ਼ਹਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ।

ਭਾਰਤ ਤਿਉਹਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੇਸ਼ : ਭਾਰਤ ਇਕ ਤਿਉਹਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ। ਕੁਝ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਿਕ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਨਾਲ। ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿਚ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਇਕ ਖਾਸ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਵੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਿਕ ਵਿਰਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਹੈ।

ਘਰ ਦੀ ਸਫ਼ਾਈ : ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਬੜੀ ਧੂਮ-ਧਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਈ। ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਮਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ-ਬਾਹਰੋਂ ਸਾਫ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਰੰਗ ਰੋਗਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਫੈਦੀ ਆਦਿ ਕਰਾਈ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਨਵਾਂ ਰੂਪ ਮਿਲਿਆ।

ਇਤਿਹਾਸਿਕ ਪਿਛੋਕੜ : ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਸੀ ਰਾਮ ਚੰਦਰ ਜੀ 14 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਨਵਾਸ ਕੱਟ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਵਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਅਯੁੱਧਿਆ ਪੁੱਜੇ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਚ ਦੀਪਮਾਲਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਛੇਵੇਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਜੀ ਜਹਾਂਗੀਰ ਦੀ ਕੈਦ ਤੋਂ ਰਿਹਾਅ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆਏ ਸਨ । ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਮਨਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਚ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੀ ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦੇਖਣ ਯੋਗ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਦਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ : ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਘਰੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲਦੇ ਸਾਂ, ਤਾਂ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਸਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਸਾਂ। ਜਗਾ-ਜਗਾ ਪਟਾਕਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੁਕਾਨਾਂ ਲੱਗੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਪਟਾਕੇ ਖਰੀਦ ਕੇ ਇੱਧਰਉੱਧਰ ਨੱਚਦੇ-ਟੱਪਦੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।

ਪਟਾਕੇ ਖਰੀਦਣਾ: ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਪਟਾਕੇ ਖਰੀਦਣ ਗਿਆ।ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਟਾਕੇ ਖਰੀਦਣ ਲਈ ਇਕ ਸ ਰੁਪਏ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਅਸੀਂ 90 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਪਟਾਕੇ ਖਰੀਦੇ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਿਸ਼ਬਾਜ਼ੀਆ, ਮਮਬਤੀਆਂ, ਅਨਾਰ, ਜਹਾਜ਼, ਟੈਂਕ-ਤੋੜ, ਮਿਜ਼ਾਈਲ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਜਲੀਆਂ ਆਦਿ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਸਨ।

ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ : ਹੁਣ ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦਾ ਦਿਹਾੜਾ ਆ ਗਿਆ। ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਭ ਦਿਨ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ। ਫਿਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕੁਝ ਦੀਵੇ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਧੋ ਕੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਸੱਕਣੇ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਕੁਝ ਮਿੱਠੀਆਂ-ਮਿੱਠੀਆਂ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਪਕਾਉਣੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਸ਼ਾਮ ਤੱਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡਾ ਭਰਾ ਵੀ ਪੁੱਜ ਗਏ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਮਠਿਆਈ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਟਾਕੇ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਏ।

ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਮਨਾਉਣਾ : ਸ਼ਾਮ ਪਈ ਅਤੇ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪੰਜ ਦੀਵੇ ਜਗਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕਿਆ। ਇਕ ਦੀਵਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰੇ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਫਿਰ ਹੋਰ ਦੀਵੇ ਜਗਾ ਕੇ ਮਕਾਨ ਦੇ ਬਨੇਰਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਧਰ-ਉੱਧਰ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਅਸੀਂ ਮੋਮਬੱਤੀਆਂ ਜਗਾ ਕੇ ਇੱਧਰ-ਉੱਧਰ ਲਾਉਣੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਸਾਰਾ ਘਰ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਸੀਂ ਮਕਾਨ ਉੱਪਰ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਮਾਰੀ ਤਾਂ ਦੀਵੇ ਹੀ ਦੀਵੇ ਜੱਗਦੇ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਕਈ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ-ਬਰੰਗੇ ਬੱਲਬ ਲਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਚਾਰ ਚੁਫੇਰਿਉਂ ਪਟਾਕੇ ਚੱਲਣ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਆਤਸ਼ਬਾਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਚੀਰਦੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਿਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਰਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ।

ਕੁਝ ਚਿਰ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਪਟਾਕੇ ਵਜਾਉਣੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ, ਮੇਰਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਭਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਵੱਡੇ-ਵੱਡੇ ਪਟਾਕੇ ਚਲਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਾਂ।ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੰਨ ਪਾੜ | ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਨਿਕਲਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਚੁੰਧਿਆ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਮੇਰਾ ਛੋਟਾ ਭਰਾ ਗੋਲਡੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਿੱਕੀ ਭੈਣ ਨਵਨੀਤ ਫੁੱਲਝੜੀਆਂ ਚਲਾ ਕੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।

ਪਟਾਕੇ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਮਗਰੋਂ : ਕੋਈ ਦੋ ਘੰਟੇ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਟਾਕੇ ਚਲਾ ਕੇ ਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਦਸ ਵਜੇ ਵਿਹਲੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਕ ਥਾਂ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮਠਿਆਈਆਂ ਖਾਣ ਲੱਗੇ। ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਾਹਰੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਲੜਾਈ ਝਗੜੇ ਦਾ ਸ਼ੋਰ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਪੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਸ ਵਿਚ ਲੜ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।

ਬੁਰਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਧ-ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ : ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਈ ਲੋਕ ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦੀ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਜੁਆ ਖੇਡਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਇਕ ਭੈੜੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ। ਫਿਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਸਲਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਦੀਵੇ ਦੀ ਕਾਲਖ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਪਾਵੇ ਉਹ ਖੋਤੇ ਦੀ ਜੂਨ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਤਾਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ ਰਾਖ ਪਾ ਲਈ ਪਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਹਿਮ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਨਾ ਪਾਇਆ।

ਲਛਮੀ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ : ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਣ ਵੇਲੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕਮਰੇ ਦਾ ਬੂਹਾ ਖੁੱਲਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦੀ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਲਛਮੀ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਬੂਹਾ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਈ ਲੋਕ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰੀ ਰਾਤ ਲਛਮੀ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਈ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮੰਨਤਾਂ ਪਰੀਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਚੌਰਾਹਿਆਂ ਆਦਿ ਵਿਚ ਟੋਟਕੇ ਵੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ-ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਨੀਂਦ ਆ ਗਈ।

ਭਾਵ ਅਤੇ ਰੂਪ – ਇਸ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਦੀਵਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਲਾਈਨ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੁਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਕੱਤਕ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੀ ਮੱਸਿਆ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗਰਮੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਰਖਾ ਰੁੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਅਲਵਿਦਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਰਦੀ ਦੀ ਰੁੱਤ ਦੇ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਸਰਦੀ ਰੁੱਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਲਾਵਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਸਰਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਰਨਮਾਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਸ ਲੀਲਾ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।

ਮਹਾਂਲਕਸ਼ਮੀਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ – ਇਸ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਾਂਲਕਸ਼ਮੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਕੱਤਕ ਮੱਸਿਆ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਾਂਲਕਸ਼ਮੀ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਲਕਸ਼ਮੀ ਧਨ ਦੀ ਦੇਵੀ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਧਨ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਸਵਰੁਪ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਮਹਾਂਲਕਸ਼ਮੀ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਾਂਲਕਸ਼ਮੀ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਦਾ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ – ਭਗਵਾਨ ਰਾਮ ਆਪਣੇ 14 ਸਾਲ ਦਾ ਬਨਵਾਸ ਕੱਟ ਕੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਰਾਵਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਮਹਾਂਲਕਸ਼ਮੀ ਦੇ ਸੁਨਹਿਰੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਅਯੁੱਧਿਆ ਆਏ ਸਨ।ਇਸ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਯੁੱਧਿਆ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਲਈ ਘਰ-ਘਰ ਦੀਪਕ ਜਲਾਏ ਸਨ।ਮਹਾਂਲਕਸ਼ਮੀ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਅਯੁੱਧਿਆ ਆਉਣ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੀਵੇ ਜਲਾ ਕੇ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਸਮਾਂ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।

ਸਫਾਈ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ – ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਹੈ ਉਥੇ ਹੀ ਸਫਾਈ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਵੀ ਹੈ। ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੱਛਰ ਖਟਮਲ ਆਦਿ ਜ਼ਹਿਰੀਲੇ ਕੀਟਾਣੂੰ ਹੌਲੀ-ਹੌਲੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਘਰ ਬਣਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।ਮੱਕੜੀ ਦੇ ਜਾਲੇ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਕਈ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਘਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਫੈਦੀ ਕਰਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।ਸਾਰੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਚਮਕਾ ਕੇ ਸਾਫ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਪਰਿਸਥਿਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਕੂਲ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਜਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ – ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਜਿਸ ਤਰਾਂ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਪਤਾ ਚਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੀਵਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਲਾਈਨ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਜਲਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਹੈ। ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨਾਉਂਦੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਕਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਨੇਰੇ ਤੇ, ਬਰਾਂਡੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੀਵਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੀਵਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਾਈਨਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਬਾਲਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦੇ ਛੋਟੇ-ਛੋਟੇ ਦੀਵਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਲ, ਬੱਤੀ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਹੀ ਲਾਈਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਅੱਜ-ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਮੋਮਬੱਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਲਾਈਨ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਬਾਲਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਨਵੇਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਫ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਪਹਿਨਣ ਦੀ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਵੀ ਹੈ।ਲੋਕੀ ਦਿਨ-ਭਰ ਬਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੇਂ ਕੱਪੜਿਆਂ, ਭਾਂਡੇ ਮਠਿਆਈ, ਫਲ ਆਦਿ ਖਰੀਦਦੇ ਹਨ।ਦੁਕਾਨਾਂ ਬੜੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਸਜੀਆਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਬਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ, ਦੁਕਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਜਾਵਟ ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹੀ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ ।ਲੋਕ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਠਿਆਈ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਿੱਤਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੰਡਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਕਵਾਨ ਬਣਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੁਰਾਈ – ਕਿਸੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਬਣੇ ਤਿਉਹਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੁਰਾਈ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ।ਜਿਸ ਲਕਸ਼ਮੀ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਲੋਕ ਧਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਬੜੀ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਸਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਈ ਲੋਕ ਅਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਰੁਪਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੇਡ ਖੇਡਣ ਲਈ ਜੂਏ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।ਜੂਆ ਖੇਡਣਾ ਇਕ ਐਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਥਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਸਮਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਤਿਉਹਾਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਕਲੰਕ ਹੈ।
