At the first session, my goals are help the person to feel comfortable, feel free to express themselves, and gain a good understanding of their concerns. I teach patients skills that they can use to cope with the challenges they face. Ultimately I hope they will learn skills so that they can manage their difficulties independently. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families providing cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy. I work with children who present with a wide variety of difficulties and am very knowledgeable in the use of behavior modification. I also treat adult with a wide variety of anxiety disorders such as OCD, panic disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder.

NEW ZEALAND OLYMPIC COMMITTEE PAYS TRIBUTE TO OLYMPIAN #514 - SIR MARK TODD

One of New Zealand’s greatest Olympians, Sir Mark Todd has announced his retirement today.

The eight-time Olympian and five-time medallist jumped into New Zealand sporting history winning gold at the Los Angeles Olympic Games 1984 with Charisma, backing it up four years later at Seoul 1988.

“Todd for Two and Two for Todd and” has gone down as one of our greatest Olympic moments and we thank Sir Mark for the incredible contribution he has made to New Zealand’s history,” said New Zealand Olympic Committee CEO Kereyn Smith this morning.

“Two gold medals, three bronze, seven games and an Olympic career spanning 32 years is outstanding,” she continued. “More over, Sir Mark epitomised the New Zealand sporting spirit with his generosity, commitment and humble approach to his international success.” 

She also acknowledged Todd’s selection to New Zealand’s 1980 Moscow Team. “The boycott prevented Sir Mark from attending what would have been his first games and would have increased his games tally to nine.” 

Sir Mark announced his retirement at the Camphire International Horse Trials in Ireland, going out on a high as part of the Kiwi team to win the Nations’ Cup at the event.

The FEI Rider of the 20th Century can lay claim to a haul of victories including two individual gold medals from the Olympic Games, four Badminton titles, five Burghley crowns and more. He has competed at seven Olympic Games for New Zealand, including two where he rode in both showjumping and eventing; and a run of World Equestrian Games where he was on two gold medal-winning teams.
