Terrorism Essay in English: 200-250 Words

Terrorism becomes now a days a great problem all over the world. It is also a great threat to mankind. It is the use of terror or violence. A certain group of people adopt it as tactics for a purpose. This group is said to be the terrorists. The purpose is a gain, Most gains are political. Sometimes there may be a personal gain. The criminals operate violence to fulfill their wishes or demands. They have various modes of operation.

Sometimes it is in the form of kidnapping or hijacking. Sometimes it is a kind of blasting bombs in a crowded train or bus. In some cases, they release their hostage on a big ransom. At times their terms and conditions are hard to accept and impossible to fulfil. On most occasions, a dateline is fixed. If they are refused or dishonoured, they turn hostile. The criminals kill their captives. It is a matter of great regret that some countries harbour the militants.

Terrorism creates social unrest. It intends to damage the national progress. Even a government falls victim to their wishes. Such a group hijacked an Indian Boeing from Nepal on the 24th December, 1999. They released it when India freed their leader Masood Azhar from the jail. The militants skyjacked American planes and crashed them into World Trade Centre. It was destroyed completely. The massacres in our Parliament and the American Embassy are the glaring examples in the recent times. We can combat and perish it from the face of the earth. Terrorism in India Essay: 300 Words

Communal disharmony is one of the causes of terrorism in India. People here are belonging to the different ethnic groups. Prejudiced, some of them show their commitment to their own minority. And this kind of conservative attitude is the genesis of terrorism in India.

Since 1947 India and Pakistan are regarded as two different free countries, although they were undivided India during the reign of the British colonialists. The British left India by conferring freedom on both India and Pakistan, but the relationship remained unfriendly. Although it is not right to say that Pakistan directly gave shelter to the terrorists, there is little doubt that the terrorists have to some extent nourished by Pakistan.

The terrorists threatened the peace in Jammu and Kashmir. Even the terrorists often attacked India between these two countries by way of causing explosions in large cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Hyderabad. Some Tamil terrorists have also been constantly threatening the peace of India. The most crucial problem that India has now been facing is the activities of the Maoists in West Bengal.

Indians are now uneasy because of the price hike, corruptions in a large scale, and the problem of unemployment. At this time terrorist activities are obligatory to the progress of the nation. All of the political leaders and the Government should be aware of the fact that communal disharmony causes this terrorism. Thus, the liberalism of Indians and proper development of the country, and above all, good administration are very necessary to stop this evil of terrorism.

If it continues, the nation will soon lose its integrity and become the most disgraceful country in the world. Unfortunately, political leaders do politics for the sake of politics only, not for the sake of the making of their country. Every Indian should be conscious of the curse of terrorism and should do well in order to restore the peace of India.

Essay on Terrorism

Terrorism is a blunder committed by the terrible individuals around us. To demonstrate their strength, a group of people attempts to govern a specific arena. Terrorism has a negative impact on both society and personal life. As a result of their acts, a large number of families are destroyed. Regrettably, the number of crimes in India is increasing on a daily basis. Ancient India was ruled by a monarchy, and the ruling was a source of pride for the king. However, India later accepted democracy, and everyone is treated equally under the Indian constitution. Even so, some cowards try to keep their power over the impoverished and weak.

Terrorism represents the foolish act done by the cruel people around us. The bunch of groups tries to rule the certain arena to show their power. Terrorism had a adverse effect on the society as well as a personal life. Their number of families gets destroyed due to their actions. In India, it's sad to say, but the number of crimes is increasing day by day. Ancient India was in Monarchy where ruling was a pride to the king, but later on India accepted democracy and everyone is treated the same under the Indian constituent. Still some cowards try to maintain their dominance over poor and helpless people.

Who could forget the date 26th November, better known as 26/11! Where 10 terrorists entered the country and attacked the economic city in India. Bringing grenades, pistols, automated rifles and other destructive weapons they almost destroyed the city and shocked the Indians in the midnight. The people are helpless, weaponless and in their own world of enjoyment at the railway station, hotels and in the drives on the roads, and suddenly a danger happens in their lives, which they did not expect.

Osama Bin Laden was the greatest terrorist in the world! People are still afraid of hearing his name. He had destroyed a building named ‘world-trade center’ with the help of an airplane. It has also been stated in the reports that frequently Osama had been amorphous with him. Even the police themselves got confused and captured the wrong one. After his death there was lots of time still required to recognize the originality of him.

Lying in court is an offense. Frequently the needy and poor people lie in court for the sake of a certain amount of money. But, this money would be a help to criminals outside the world. Even, we purchased CDs and DVDs at an economic rate. To save a certain amount of money, we help piracy. These pirates invest this money in the armonony and indirectly we are sponsoring a bullet in every war which would be used against us only.

The origin of terrorism starts with a little things. The first pen stolen from a friend could even lead to mortal works. Everything has a start and if left unmanaged, they can leave the astray and lose the right path. In the school, if the adverse effects of being bad are explained properly with illustrations to some real life examples, the students may get aware about all the facts and take an initiative to stop the spread of crime. Instead of making criminals with heroic roles in the television serials, the more heroic movie super cops are to be made. Instead of writing biographies of terrorism supporters, write articles about terrorism demonization. The start of this cleaning starts from home, if you have a child, teach them the ways to be a great person in good habits rather than supporting him when he starts stealing something. Terrorism has an end, if we are united the terrorism can be thrown is out of the windows!

Various Forms Of Terrorism

Political terrorism, which raises mass concern, and criminal terrorism, which involves abduction for ransom money, are the two sorts of terrorism. Political terrorism is significantly more essential than criminal terrorism since it is carried out by well-trained personnel. As a result, apprehending them in a timely way becomes increasingly challenging for law enforcement agencies.

Terrorism has spread across the country and around the world. Regional terrorism is the most dangerous type of terrorism. Terrorists feel that dying as a terrorist is a priceless and sacred experience, and they will go to any extent to attain it. Each of these terrorist groups was founded for a different motive.

Who can forget November 26th, often known as "26/11"? Ten terrorists infiltrated the country and assaulted India's economic centre. They nearly devastated the city and astonished the Indians by bringing explosives, pistols, automatic rifles, and other lethal weapons. People are defenceless, without weapons, and engrossed in their own realms of pleasure at the railway station, motels, and on the highways when an unanticipated menace enters their life.

The Origins of Terrorism

The invention or manufacture of vast quantities of machine guns, atomic bombs, hydrogen bombs, nuclear weapons, missiles, and other weapons fuels terrorism. Rapid population expansion, political, social, and economic issues, public dissatisfaction with the country's system, a lack of education, corruption, racism, economic disparities, and language disparities are all key factors in the development of terrorism. Terrorism is sometimes used to establish and maintain one's stance. Despite the contrast between caste and terrorism, the most well-known riots have taken place between Hindus and Muslims.

Consequences of Terrorism

Individuals are filled with fear as a result of terrorism, and people of the country feel vulnerable as a result. Millions of goods have been destroyed, thousands of people have died, and animals have been slaughtered as a result of terrorist assaults. People lose trust in humanity after seeing a terrorist attack, which fosters more terrorists. Terrorism comes in many forms and manifests itself in different parts of the country and outside.

Terrorism is becoming a problem not just in India, but also in our neighbouring countries, and governments throughout the world are battling it. The World Trade Center attack on September 11, 2001, is considered the world's worst terrorist strike. Osama bin Laden launched an attack on the world's tallest tower, resulting in millions of injuries and thousands of deaths.

200 Words Essay on Terrorism

Terrorism is a complex and ever-evolving threat that affects countries and communities around the world. It involves the use of violence and intimidation to achieve political or ideological goals. The causes of terrorism can vary, but often include religious extremism, political oppression, and economic inequality.

To truly understand the impact of terrorism, it's important to consider not only the physical harm caused by terrorist attacks but also the emotional and psychological toll it takes on individuals and communities. The loss of life and injury caused to innocent civilians is devastating and can leave families and communities reeling for years to come. In addition, terrorism can cause physical damage to infrastructure and buildings, as well as economic disruption, leading to decreased tourism and investment.

To effectively combat terrorism, it's important to take a holistic approach that addresses not only the immediate threat of terrorist attacks but also the underlying issues that can lead to radicalization and the emergence of terrorist groups. This can include addressing poverty and economic inequality, promoting political and religious tolerance, and providing support and resources to individuals and communities at risk of radicalization.

It's also important to remember that the fight against terrorism is not just the responsibility of governments and law enforcement agencies, but also of individuals and communities. By promoting understanding and compassion, and by standing up against hate and extremism, we can all play a role in preventing terrorism and creating a more peaceful world.

500 Words Essay on Terrorism

According to a United Nations Security Council report from November 2004, terrorism is any act that is "intended to result in the death or serious bodily harm of civilians or non-combatants to intimidate the population or to compel the government or an international organisation to do or abstain from doing any act."

The Origins of Terrorism

The development or production of massive numbers of machine guns, atomic bombs, hydrogen bombs, nuclear weapons, missiles, and other weapons fuels terrorism. Rapid population growth, political, social, and economic problems, widespread discontent with the political system, a lack of education, racism, economic inequality, and linguistic discrepancies are all important contributors to the emergence of terrorism. Sometimes one uses terrorism to take a position and stick with it.

The Effects Of Terrorism

People become afraid of terrorism and feel unsafe in their nation. Terrorist attacks result in the destruction of millions of items, the death of thousands of innocent people, and the slaughter of animals. After seeing a terrorist incident, people become less inclined to believe in humanity, which breeds more terrorists.

Different forms of terrorism can be found both domestically and overseas. Today, governments worldwide are working hard to combat terrorism, which is an issue in India and our neighbouring nations. The 9/11 World Trade Centre attack is considered the worst terrorist act ever. Osama bin Laden attacked the tallest building in the world’s most powerful country, causing millions of casualties and the death of thousands of people.

The major incidents of the terrorist attack in India are—

12 March 1993 - A series of 13 bombs go off, killing 257

14 March 2003 - A bomb goes off in a train in Mulund, killing 10

29 October 2005 Delhi bombings

2005 Ram Janmabhoomi attack in Ayodhya

2006 Varanasi bombings

11 July 2006 - A series of seven bombs go off in trains, killing

26 November 2008 to 29 November 2008 - A series of coordinated attacks killed at least 170.

According to this data, India has experienced an upsurge in terrorist activity since 1980. India has fought four wars against terrorism , losing more than 6000 persons in total. Already, we have lost around 70000 citizens. Furthermore, we lost over 9000 security staff. In this country, about 6 lakh individuals have undergone.

Agencies In India Fighting Terrorism

There are numerous organisations working to rid our nation of terrorism. These organizations operate continuously, from the municipal to the national levels. To stop local terrorist activity, police forces have various divisions.

The police departments have a specialized intelligence and anti-terrorism division that is in charge of eliminating Naxalites and other terrorist organizations. The military is in charge of bombing terrorist targets outside of our country. These departments engage in counterinsurgency and other similar operations to dismantle various terrorist organisations.

There are numerous organisations that work to prevent terrorism. Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) , National Investigation Agency (NIA) , and Research and Analysis Wing are a few of the top organizations (RAW) . These are some of the main organizations working to rid India of terrorism.

Factors That Contribute to Terrorism

Terrorism is not born overnight. Several factors are responsible for giving birth to terrorism. Political grievances and religious extremism are the two main factors causing terrorism.

It happens quite often when a certain group or individuals feel marginalized, oppressed, or disenfranchised by their government or ruling authority. In situations like these, they try to resort to terrorism as a means of expressing their grievances and seeking change. Corrupt government, authoritarianism, lack of political representation, human rights abuses, and discrimination, are the major factors causing political grievances.

Religious extremists are also responsible for terrorism. These people brainwash younger people against other communities and wage religious war against them. Extremist ideologies distort religious teachings to promote hatred, intolerance, and the justification of violence against perceived enemies.

Apart from these two factors, socioeconomic situations and geopolitical rivalries can also provoke people against others; resulting in terrorist activities. Poors and the unemployed are the most vulnerable as terrorist or extremist organisations try to offer them financial incentives or a sense of purpose.

Types of Terrorism

Terrorism is not just about holding an assault rifle and shooting at innocent people. Terrorism is of two types: Political Terrorism and Criminal Terrorism . Both these harm the credible image of a country or a region and affect in a nation’s daily political and economic activities.

Consequences of Terrorism

The consequences of terrorism are worse than a 7.7 magnitude earthquake or any other natural disaster. This man-made disaster not only kills innocent but creates fear, which is everlasting.

Terrorist activities hamper the economic and political development of a country. In a state where terrorism exists, people are always in fear of death or any mishap. Thanks to terrorism countries like Pakistan, Syria, Afghanistan, etc. are not able to develop.

The consequences of terrorism are loss of life, physical injuries, psychological trauma, economic damage and social disruption. It can also lead to increased security measures, erosion of civil liberties, and heightened ethnic or religious tensions.

How to Fight Terrorism?

Anti-terrorism is a fight between justice and evil, civilisation and savagery. To fight terrorism, we need international cooperation and a multi-faceted approach. Addressing the root cause of terrorism can be the first step in fighting terrorism. When we understand the cause of a problem, we can come up with better and more comprehensive solutions.

Strengthening law enforcement capabilities can help in the prevention and investigation of terrorist activities. It can also improve intelligence gathering and analysis to disrupt terrorist networks.

India, for a long, has been accusing some countries of state-sponsored terrorism. But, it was only after 9/11 that India received global cooperation. Today, global powers are determined to eradicate terrorism from its root.

Building trust and cooperation between communities is very important. It can help law enforcement agencies to prevent radicalization and promote early intervention.

Essay on Terrorism

Terrorism is the word used to describe acts of violence directed at unwary civilians or military personnel who are not engaged in combat. Usually, the goal is to topple a government and gain political advantage. Terrorists are those who carry out these kinds of acts. The world has been suffering from terrorism for a long time, and nothing is changing. People lose their lives when the government fights terrorism. Additionally, because terrorism is now worldwide, it is hard to eradicate. To combat terrorism and improve the quality of life on Earth, we must band together.

The awful people in our surroundings are the ones that perpetrate acts of terrorism. A gang of individuals tries to rule a certain arena in order to show off their might. Terrorism is detrimental to society and individual lives. Many families are shattered as a result of their actions. Unfortunately, there are more and more crimes committed in India every day. A monarchy ruled over ancient India, and the monarchs took great satisfaction in their position of authority. But India eventually embraced democracy, and its constitution guarantees equal treatment for all. Nevertheless, some cowards attempt to maintain their dominance over the weak and destitute.

The senseless acts of the wicked individuals who surround us are symbolized by terrorism. To demonstrate their dominance, the various groups attempt to control a particular arena. Terrorism has a negative impact on both individual lives and society as a whole. Their acts destroy a large number of their families. It is with regret to inform that there are more crimes committed in India every day. In the past, India was a monarchy, with the king taking great satisfaction in his rule. However, the country eventually adopted democracy, where everyone is treated equally under Indian constitutions. Even now, some cowards want to hold onto their power over the weak and defenseless.

Instances of Terrorism

The world's greatest terrorist was none other than Osama bin Laden! Even now, people shudder at the mention of his name. He had used an aircraft to help him destroy the "World Trade Center." The sources also claim that Osama has been ambiguous with him on several occasions. Even the cops became perplexed and mistakenly arrested the incorrect person. It took a long time after his passing for others to realize how unique he was.

In court, lying is not acceptable. People in need and poverty often tell lies in court to get a particular quantity of money. Yet, criminals abroad would benefit from this money. We even paid a reasonable price for the CDs and DVDs we bought. We support piracy in order to save a certain amount of money. By allowing these pirates to invest our money in the armory, we are essentially funding a bullet that will be used exclusively against us in every conflict.

Perception behind Terrorism

Little things are the beginning of the birth of terrorism. Even mortal works might result from the first pen that is taken from a buddy. Everything begins, and if it is not controlled, it is possible to go off course and miss the correct route. If the negative consequences of criminal behavior are adequately taught in the classroom, complete with real-world examples to illustrate the points, then the students could become aware of all the information and take the initiative to stop crime from spreading. The more heroic movie Super Police should be developed, not criminals with heroic characters in television serials. Write essays about the demonization of terrorism rather than biographies of supporters of terrorism. The first step in cleaning is at home. If you have children, model excellent behavior for them by teaching them these values instead of giving in to their thievery. There is an end to terrorism, and if we band together, we can hurl it out the window!

Forms of Terrorism

There are two types of terrorism: criminal terrorism, which includes kidnapping for ransom money, and political terrorism, which causes widespread concern. Since political terrorism is carried out by skilled individuals, it is far more important than criminal terrorism. It thus becomes more difficult for law enforcement organizations to capture them quickly.

The nation and the world have seen an increase in terrorism. The most serious kind of terrorism is regional terrorism. Terrorists would stop at nothing to achieve their goal of dying as terrorists because they view it as a precious and holy experience. These terrorist organizations were established for various reasons.

Who could forget November 26, popularly referred to as "26/11"? Ten terrorists broke into India and attacked its financial hub. They brought automatic rifles, handguns, bombs, and other deadly weaponry, shocking the Indians and almost destroying the city. When an unexpected threat appears at the train station, in hotels, or on the roads, people are helpless, unarmed, and preoccupied with their own spheres of enjoyment.

Origins of Terrorism

Terrorism is fueled by the development or production of massive amounts of machine guns, atomic bombs, hydrogen bombs, nuclear weapons, missiles, and other weaponry. A number of important elements have contributed to the rise of terrorism, including the nation's rapid population growth, political, social, and economic unrest, popular discontent with the political system, a lack of education, corruption, racism, economic inequality, and linguistic differences. Sometimes one uses terrorism to take a position and stick with it. The most well-known riots have occurred between Muslims and Hindus, notwithstanding the differences between terrorism and caste.

Harmful Effects of Terrorism

The nation's citizens feel exposed to and overcome by terror as a result of terrorism. Terrorist attacks have resulted in the destruction of millions of items, the deaths of thousands of people, and the murder of animals. After witnessing a terrorist act, people lose faith in others, which encourages more terrorists. Terrorism may take many forms and appear both inside and outside of the nation.

Governments throughout the world are fighting terrorism since it is becoming an issue not only in India but also in our bordering nations. The attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, is regarded as the greatest terrorist attack in history. A terrorist attack by Osama bin Laden on the tallest structure in the world left thousands dead and millions injured.

Terrorism in India

India has a lengthy history of terrorism. The terrorist organizations' despicable deeds are intended to disrupt the nation's tranquility. Its goal is to instill fear in the minds of individuals. To prevent the nation from thriving, they want to maintain a condition of perpetual terror among the populace.

They occasionally commit terrorist attacks to instill in people the dread they want them to have. As a result, there are around 100 terrorist cells active in India. They have been somewhat successful in inciting hostility among the populace. Terrorism has deadly consequences and a severe influence on the nation.

Terrorism Impacts in India

As was previously mentioned, terrorism significantly affects every nation. It is far more detrimental when we consider a growing nation like India. First of all, it instills fear among the populace. People's mental health is impacted by bomb explosions or gunfire. Many people die young as a result of this, or they become disabled. One's way of life is greatly limited by the worry and anguish they must endure.

Furthermore, the tourist sector is significantly impacted by terrorism. The tourism business suffers as travelers steer clear of areas that are susceptible to terrorist attacks. India is a nation where tourism contributes significantly to its GDP. When these incidents occur, the visitors get fearful as well. Those who had planned to visit postponed their travels. In the same vein, those who are remaining now cut their journey short and go.

Additionally, terrorist acts make international investors in India less certain. Who would want to invest in a nation that is prone to terrorism, after all? They choose safer options instead of taking the chance. India's reliance on them for commerce is severely harmed by this. It harms the economy as a result. Terrorist attacks cost a lot of money to replenish since they destroy property and cause fatalities. Additionally, it causes people to relocate abroad in search of a safer environment. India loses a great deal of talent in this way, including engineers, physicians, artists, and more.

Indian Instances of Terrorism

Over the years, India has had several terrorist strikes. The Mumbai terror assault on 26/11 is unquestionably the deadliest of all. Famous locations, including Hotel Oberoi Trident, Hotel Taj, and Nariman House, were taken over by the terrorists. They caused almost 300 injuries and about 170 deaths. These victims were all either visitors or members of the security services.

The Bombay train explosions were likewise extremely lethal. They happened at seven railway stations and on Mumbai's local trains. It left 715 people wounded and 210 people dead.

Even more unexpected was the attack on the Indian Parliament. Since the parliament is among the safest structures,. Six police officers and three members of the parliament staff were slain by the attacker. It's still startling to consider how such a secure location could be targeted for assault. To put it briefly, the elimination of terrorism in India is necessary to protect the nation and promote its growth.

Terrorism in the United States of America Essay

Introduction, domestic terrorist organizations.

Terrorism is a serious problem affecting the United States of America that is likely to worsen in the coming years. The number of terrorist groups operating within the borders has increased over the past decade. Data provided by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) shows that white supremacists pose the greatest risk to the nation’s security. Moreover, anarchists and religious extremists have been cited as perpetrators of terrorist activities within the US. Common types of terrorism include right-wing terrorism (white supremacists and anti-government extremists), left-wing terrorism, and religious terrorism. Recent events following the death of George Floyd have revealed the new face of terrorism in the US. The spread of false information, conspiracy theories, and incitements to violence are some of the means that terrorist groups are using to advance their agenda. Aryan Nations and the Ku Klux Klan are terrorist organizations that continue to promote racial and religious violence as well as anti-Semitic ideas.

Aryan Nations

Aryan Nations (AN) is a white supremacist terrorist organization that is headquartered in Hayden, Idaho. It is a form of right-wing terrorism that is anti-Semitic and neo-Nazi, and that was founded by Richard Girnt Butler in 1977. Its main objective is to establish a white state that excludes other races by fighting against people that pose a threat to the white race, including the Jews and African Americans (Perliger, 2020). Constructivism theory can be used to explain the development and motivations of AN. Originally, it was a branch of the Christian Identity church that has two core teachings: whites are the true Israelites and Jews originated from a union between Satan and Eve. The group has been involved in several criminal activities, hence its classification by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as a terrorist threat in 2001. Moreover, it is founded on a wide spectrum of racist and anti-Semitic ideas that promote racial intolerance (Perliger, 2020). The organization has been described by the RAND Corporation as a pioneer nationwide terrorist network in the US.

Aryan Nations has a single leader who makes all the group’s decisions. Unlike other terrorist organizations, it lacks a hierarchical structure and its activities are determined by the leader. It has been infiltrated by the FBI through an informant. Dave Hall, the group’s propaganda minister was an informant who exposed the organization’s illegal activities (Perliger, 2020). He reported directly to Special Agent Tym Burkey, a security officer who was helping Dayton’s organized Jewish community fight the group’s hate campaign. AN is linked to other terrorist groups, including the Ku Klux Klan (KKK), National Alliance, and The Silent Brotherhood (Perliger, 2020). The group is funded privately by individuals who support its ideologies and through its involvement in criminal activities. It lacks a strong organization and communication strategy, and it relies on the internet to conduct recruitments and spread its ideologies.

In recent years, wrangles have developed within the organization since the death of its founder, and splinter groups have emerged. It weakened in 2001 after losing its Northern Idaho compound where it was headquartered (Perliger, 2020). The group might disintegrate in the future because of its dwindling number of followers, leadership wrangles, and a lack of finances to fund its activities. Law enforcement agencies have heightened surveillance on groups and individuals deemed to promote terrorism in the US. Therefore, people might be afraid of donating to their initiatives and joining them as members for fear of victimization and prosecution.

Ku Klux Klan

The KKK refers to a domestic left-wing terrorist group that uses fear to advance its white supremacist ideologies. The original group was disbanded in the 1870s, and it was revived in 1915 as a new outfit. The organization had more than 4 million members in the 1920s, and it was financed from member contributions and the sale of publications and costumes. Its objectives include the suppression of African Americans, Catholics, Jews, immigrants, leftists, and members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community (Jones et al., 2020). Its motivations and ideologies can be explained using the constructivism theory because terrorism is a social construct. The group operates primarily in the Southern United States. They are active in several states, including Mississippi, Alabama, Kentucky, Georgia, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Virginia, Florida, Illinois, Missouri, and North Carolina among others. Affiliate groups include Noble Klans of America, United Klans of America, the White Knights of Texas, and the Rebel Brigade Knights True Invisible Empire among others.

The group’s organization involves a hierarchical structure that includes a titular head, leaders for each congressional district, and county heads. The overall leader is referred to as the Grand Dragon while the head of a congressional district is referred to as the Grand Titan. The counties are overseen by a head known as the Grand Giant, who is responsible for organizing militia members and supplying them with weapons. The Grand Dragon makes the group’s most critical decisions and receives frequent reports from district heads regarding the organization’s activities. The KKK is funded primarily by individuals who support the group’s ideologies. Counterintelligence program (COINTELPRO) refers to a series of activities conducted by the FBI between 1956 and 1979 to disrupt political organizations that destabilized the US (Perliger, 2020). COINTELPRO-White Hate program involved the infiltration of the KKK by FBI agents through overt techniques that included paying informers, bribing Klansmen, and the use of wiretaps and bugs.

The KKK has experienced a steady decline in membership in the past decade. However, the organization continues to promote its ideologies and recruit more people. Its new techniques include creating new websites, opening accounts for donations, and creating content that spreads its ideologies (Jones et al., 2020). In the future, the organization is likely to plateau because of poor leadership, wrangles within the group, and the inability to create and maintain alliances. Moreover, the group has numerous affiliate hate groups. Therefore, the lack of a stable leadership system is a risk to the group’s stability. Moreover, increased surveillance and monitoring by security agencies hamper their activities around the country.

Terrorism is a serious threat to the security of the United States of America. For many decades, security agencies in the country have implemented several measures to curb the rise in terrorism within the country’s borders. Right-wing, left-wing, and religious forms of terrorism are common in the US. Aryan Nations (AN) and the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) are terrorist groups that have operated in the US for decades. They are funded mainly by individuals who subscribe to their ideologies. Their involvement in racial and anti-Semitic criminal activities renders them, terrorist groups, as classified by the FBI. The groups might disintegrate in the future because of leadership wrangles and the lack of funding. Moreover, increased surveillance by security agencies has hampered their recruitment and fundraising activities.

Essay on “Terrorism” for School, College Students, Long and Short English Essay, Speech for Class 10, Class 12, College and Competitive Exams.

Essay No. 01

Terrorism is a system of frightening people, to make them do what the terrorists want. Senator Denton has called it ‘the most widely practised form of modern warfare”. These activities of Terrorism are neither fashionable and fascinating nor are romantic fights for freedom but are criminal actions. The motives behind terrorism may be personal or political. Whatever the motives of the terrorists may be, they affect the National Integration.

Terrorism is derived from the word “Terror” which means “extreme fear”. The persons who make atmosphere of extreme fear among masses are called terrorists. Such types of activities is called terrorism. The aim of a terrorist is to spread terror among people. They kill those persons or officials who oppose their evil deeds. Thus they create an atmosphere of terror to suit their designs.

Today, terrorism is a world-wide problem ranging from aircraft hijacking, planting of bombs in air craft’s, brutal killing of opponents and innocent people by the terrorists are heard every day from far and near. It is often seen that terrorist groups whether in India or Sri Lanka or elsewhere in the world, receive money, weapons and training from other foreign countries. These terrorists have unlimited access to sophisticated weapons. They believe that the highest form of revolutionary terrorism should utilize the most advanced science and technology.

In India, terrorism struck in the recent past in one form or another, especially in Punjab, Assam, Darjeeling and other States. Now recently it began showing teeth in Kashmir also. These people are directly being sponsored by a neighbouring country. It has put the people in extreme difficulties wherever the menace has erupted. The newspapers are filled with reports of violence, murder, explosion, shooting. In these terrorist activities hundreds of innocent men and women are killed. Many official buildings are either destroyed or burnt to ashes, for no reason. Today it looks uncertain how long this lust for blood will continue. But it is rather obvious that these people have no other reason for the terrorist activities than creating menace among the people.

Terrorism is the main problem of our country this time. Steps should be taken to tackle the situation peacefully. The people involved in it are mostly our own people, our own blood. They have some misconceptions and misunderstandings. These can be solved by getting them on the negotiation table.

Several steps are now taken all over the world to control these activities like establishment of anti-terrorist forces to battle terrorism. The countries like Britain, Russia, and Germany have their own anti-terrorist forces. India has also established such forces to fight to terrorists. India has also established such forces to fight the terrorism. The police and sundry Para military forces have been present in certain areas of the country where violence is at worst. India has not taken steps to check the terrorism in her own country but also helped her neighbouring countries like Sri Lanka to fight them.

A day is not far away when these terrorist activities will come to an end. As whenever any other country has tried to threaten India’s integrity, India has always responded positively to maintain the dignity of her motherland: which she has got after years of struggle.

Essay No. 02

Evil of Terrorism

Terrorism is political violence. When an organization fails to get its demands conceded, it gets frustrated. It loses faith in negotiations and table-talks. It gives up peaceful and non-violent means and takes to violent means. It wants quick results in its favor. The members of the organization come to believe not in the force of argument but in the argument of force.

Terrorism has many forms. Kidnapping, hijacking, sabotage, assassination, looting, derailment etc are some of its forms. The terrorists have no fear of any law. They are not afraid of their own death. They have no respect for any person howsoever great he may be. They have no love for mankind. They have no sympathy for the sufferers. They are devoid of noble feelings. They are beasts in the body of human beings.

Terrorists kill innocent people. They explode bombs near the shrines. They aim at spreading disaffection among members of different communities. They cause derailment of trains. They hijack buses and kill the passengers mercilessly. They kidnap men, women and children and demand huge ransom for their release. They also hijack aero-planes and make life gloomy and risky.

Terrorism must be checked at all costs. Public opinion should be formed against it. All the peace-loving countries should unite and wage a war against it. It is not confined to one country but it is an international phenomenon. Any country which patronizes terrorists should be isolated. No mercy of any kind should be shown to them. Terrorism is fast spreading. The sooner we put an end to it, the better it would be for the whole humanity.

Essay on “Global Terrorism- The Fight Against Terrorism” Complete Essay for Class 10 and Class 12.

GLOBAL TERRORISM – AMENACE TO HUMANITY

THE FIGHT AGAINST TERRORISM — THE NEED OF THE HOUR

The world is today witnessing a rise of terrorist activities in different parts of the world.  A number of groups, owing allegiance to some political ideology or some particular religious beliefs, have chosen the path of violence and terror to achieve their objects.  These vested interests are rabid fundamentalists or fanatics having no sanctity for life. The know no principles or values.  They believe in the power of the gun and want to achieve their objects overnight.

While some of these groups are fighting for control over some pieces of land, others are fighting for spreading their own ideology or religious philosophies.  They choose to defy public opinion and refuse to see reason.  They think that their own view point or stand is the only right view point or stand, and that they have a right to convert other people to their thinking by force.  For this avowed purpose they do not hesitate from committing the worst of crimes including murder of innocent citizens, looting or burning property, kidnapping people, hijacking planes and creating terror in one way or the other.

Some of the important terrorist organizations operating in different parts of the world have already been identified. The Al0Aaeda in Afghanistan, the Jaishe Mohmmad and the Lashker-e-Toiba based in Pakistan, the Palestine Liberation Organisation in the Middle East, the LTTE in Sri Lanka, the Maoists in Nepal, the Naxalite organization called People’s War Group (PWA) in parts of India, the Naga National Council, several pro—Pakistan groups operating in Jammu and Kashmir, the Irish Army in the U.K., etc. are already playing havoc in their respective areas.  The number of these organizations is so large that it is difficult to list them out.  They have their own training systems where they catch hold of young boys and indoctrinate them in subtle ways through guile, treachery, temptations or money.  At several places they are running their own schools to ‘Catch them young’ and wash their brains.  Some of the Madarsas being run by Muslim fundamentalists are allegedly involved in this type of activities.

It would on September 11, 2001 that the world woke up to the dangers of this terrible menace.  A group of Al- Qaeda terrorists, guided and supported by the Taliban leader Osama Bin Laden based in Afghanistan, struck terror in the U.S.A. in a big way.  They hijacked four US planes from some US civilian airports.  While one of these planes hit against the US headquarters in Pentagon, another two planed brought down the towering World Trade Centre, killing at least 5000 innocent US citizens.  The fourth, luckily, missed the target.  It was, the reports say, scheduled to hit the White House, the residence of the US president.

George Bush, the President of the USA, swung into action and ordered US air force to attack Afghanistan and bring the terrorists to book.  In a massive attack, the Talibans were defeated and destroyed and a new government came to control Afghanistan.  Similarly America attacked Iraq as President Saddam himself appeared to be a big terror.  Iraq was badly damaged.  A group of terrorists trained in Pakistan attacked the Indian Parliament House on December 13, 2001 even when the Parliament was in session.  The Indian security personnel killed all the five attackers on the spot but the incident shook whole of the country and the world.  The war against terrorists is continuing and the world community has decided to continue to fight till terrorism is fully wiped out from the face of this earth.

The UNO has, in a resolution, called upon various nations to join hands and work as United Alliance to face this threat of terrorism anywhere at any time in the world.

Pak-trained terrorists continue to cross over to India and let loose a reign of terror in        J & K.  Terrorism has already taken a heavy toll of life and property.  It is a shame that even as the human civilization is marching ahead,  some people are bent upon pushing the world back to the age of barbarism and brutality full of chaos and indiscipline.  The law of the jungle will take us nowhere.  We can only pray for good sense of prevail so that the world is able to share and enjoy the blessings bestowed upon mankind by new leaps in the field of science and technology.
