Online Ed.D. Programs Without a Dissertation

Online Ed.D. programs—and in-person doctorates—always contain a rigorous, research-based project. In the past, this has been a traditional dissertation, just like a Ph.D. program. But in recent years, more and more schools are choosing to focus on a Dissertation in Practice (DiP) or Capstone Project . Discover how these two "No Dissertation" models differ from the older framework. Or skip ahead to the online listings and on-campus listings to explore your options!

No matter what Ed.D. you choose, you are always going to have to complete a research-based doctoral project. Schools that advertise “No Dissertation” Ed.D. programs typically require a Dissertation in Practice (DiP) or capstone project . These are the doctorates that we’ve included in our online listings . Examples include:

• University of Missouri-St. Louis’s Online Ed.D. in Educational Practice . UMSL employs an 8-credit Dissertation in Practice (DiP) model, which is completed through group work.
• University of Southern California’s Online Ed.D. in Educational Leadership . This program involves a Dissertation in Practice (DiP) that focuses on issues impeding K-12 students’ access to learning opportunities.
• University of Southern Mississippi’s Online Ed.D. in Educational Administration . This degree includes a 12-credit capstone research project, which runs the length of the program. Students are expected to focus on a problem of practice in their workplace.
• Nebraska Methodist College’s Online Ed.D. in Education and Leadership in Healthcare . This “No Dissertation” degree contains an 8-credit capstone split into four courses over a six-term program.
• National University’s Online Ed.D. in Organizational Innovation , which requires a culminating project, worth 9 quarter credits. This is a written work based on research students do in their workplace.

Note: Avoid like the plague any Ed.D. program that has no DiP or capstone requirement! They almost certainly will a) not be accredited; and b) not be recognized by employers.

What is a Traditional Ed.D. Dissertation?

A traditional Ed.D. dissertation is a five-chapter paper, roughly the length of a short book. It shows that you can conduct original research into the field of education. The dissertation process starts as soon as you begin your online Ed.D. or on-campus doctorate and it can be broken down into six steps:

• Choose a Research Topic: Near the beginning of the Ed.D. program, you’ll be expected to identify a topic that will require substantial research. This topic should revolve around a unique issue in education (e.g. Helping Intellectually Gifted Middle School Students, Bridging the Gap Between Training and Educating in Adult Learning, etc.).
• Craft a Proposal: You’ll use the knowledge you’ve gained from didactic coursework and Ed.D. research classes to write the opening chapters of your dissertation, including an introduction that defines your chosen problem, a literature review, and a proposed methodology for finding the answer.
• Defend the Proposal: Before proceeding, you will need to present your dissertation proposal to a committee. The committee will want to see that your research is significant and relevant works are included in the literature review. In online Ed.D. programs, this defense can usually be done virtually.
• Research the Topic: After making any necessary tweaks to the proposal, and getting it approved, you can begin researching your topic.
• Write the Remainder of the Dissertation: Once you have completed your research, you’ll write up the final chapters—one chapter will detail your findings; the other should contain an analysis of what your findings mean and how they might apply to professional situations.
• Defend Your Dissertation: At the end of the Ed.D. degree, you must present your dissertation to the committee (usually in an oral presentation). After you have incorporated any notes from the committee, you can finalize your draft and graduate.

Practice-Focused Alternatives: The “No Dissertation” Model of the DiP or Capstone Project

Unlike Ph.D. programs, Ed.D. programs are focused on professional practice—on-campus and online Ed.D. graduates are expected to apply their research in order to solve or improve real-world problems. To that end, many universities in our online listings and on-campus listings have been moving away from a traditional dissertation to more innovative models.

What does an Ed.D. Without a Dissertation Entail?

In general, all alternatives to a traditional Ed.D. dissertation involve a Problem of Practice (PoP) in the workplace. When you tackle a Dissertation in Practice (DiP) or capstone project , you’ll be using your research to create practical & workable solutions (e.g. recommending better practices or creating different approaches to current practice).

As we mentioned, you’ll sometimes see these kinds of education doctorates labeled as “No Dissertation” degrees. But keep in mind that the final project will be just as challenging as a traditional dissertation! Be prepared for a lot of on-the-ground research and writing.

Dissertation in Practice (DiP)

In the 2000s, the Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate (CPED) wanted to make the Ed.D. more relevant for school practitioners and education leaders. So it devised a new Framework for Ed.D. Program Design , with a) a new definition of the Ed.D.; b) a list of guiding principles for program development; and c) a set of building blocks for the degree.

One of these building blocks is the Dissertation in Practice (DiP) . During a DiP, you’ll be expected to:

• Tackle a complex Problem of Practice (PoP) facing an organization or stakeholder group in education.
• Create an innovative, research-based project that can help guide other educators and be used in the field.
• Integrate concepts of practice, leadership, and equity into your project.

DiPs are geared toward working professionals who want to make substantive changes in education. Experienced practitioners act as DiP advisors; collaboration is encouraged; and applied research & theory is the name of the game. Examples of this practical approach include ASU’s focus on “action research” within the workplace; Pitt’s use of “improvement science” to address equity and justice; and Harvard’s concern with “strategy in action.”

Capstone Project

While you’re examining universities, you may also come across Ed.D. programs that contain a culminating project , scholarly delivery , applied inquiry project , or a capstone project . The choice of language is determined by graduate faculty and the university. But all of them hold the equivalent weight of a traditional dissertation or DiP.

To get a sense of how an on-campus or online Ed.D. capstone project is structured, we recommend you examine the Ed.D. program page carefully.

• Some schools like to put an emphasis on group work.
• Others are interested in seeing innovative final projects/deliverables.
• Many follow the DiP model.

An education doctorate with a capstone project is probably the closest you’re going to get to a “No Dissertation Ed.D.” You’ll often be in involved in more collaboration and hands-on deliverables. But you’re always going to have to produce rigorous, research-focused results.

How an Ed.D. Capstone Project Works

Let’s say you’ve decided on pursuing an accredited, on-campus or online Ed.D. without a dissertation. How can you be sure that the final research project is going to be as tough as the traditional model? Here is a general summary of the steps involved in completing a strong Ed.D. capstone project:

• Choose a Capstone Topic: The beginning of your Ed.D. will typically be front-loaded with foundational coursework, as well as classes on how to conduct research. It’s here that you’ll start to explore what a good capstone topic might be and learn about relevant research tools.
• Meet with an Advisor: You’ll work with an advisor to firm up the real-world problem you want to address and determine how to approach it. Part of this process will involve figuring out what an appropriate deliverable would be (e.g. change management plan, new curriculum, portfolio of educational materials, etc.).
• Draft a Proposal: About halfway through the program, you may be expected to draft a report that contains a problem statement, an outline of your process for finding solutions, and a description of deliverables.
• Defend the Proposal: Before any actual research takes place, the committee needs to sign off on your proposal.
• Research the Topic: Even without a standard Ed.D. dissertation, there’s no getting around conducting research. The key difference is how that research is gathered and applied. You may end up combining traditional research with action research and/or evaluation research (e.g. collecting and analyzing real-time data from your workplace).
• Defend Your Findings: You have one more defense—this time of your research findings and accompanying recommendations. This is separate from the project deliverable.
• Produce a Deliverable: The deliverable/final project is something that an organization can actually use to improve educational access or outcomes.

Ed.D. Traditional Dissertation vs. DiP/Capstone Project

As long as they contain a DiP or capstone, accredited on-campus & online Ed.D. programs without a dissertation carry the same weight as doctoral programs with traditional dissertations. There’s absolutely no difference in quality. The CPED consortium includes numerous prominent universities , and U.S. News & World Report highly ranks several schools with Ed.D. capstone components. So you have a choice.

Traditional Ed.D. Dissertation

You may wish to consider Ed.D. programs with a traditional dissertation if you want to dig deep into original research. This research may not be immediately applicable to your workplace, but it will help advance educators’ understanding of an issue. It contributes new knowledge to the field. Some dissertation writers like to investigate cultural topics (e.g. Latinx learning experiences); others are interested in the effect of education in particular settings (e.g. U.S. prison system).

Ed.D. Capstone Project or DiP: The “No Dissertation” Model

If you would like to tackle a specific problem in your workplace, then we recommend you consider in-person or online Ed.D. programs with a DiP or capstone project. These doctorates are focused on applied theory & research—you will be expected to test & implement changes over the course of your degree (e.g. new education methods, curriculum changes, leadership interventions, etc.). Ed.D. programs without a dissertation may also contain more group work and interpersonal opportunities.

Note: If you don’t have the capacity for a large research project at this time, you could consider pursuing an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree . This leaves the door open for you to complete an Ed.D. completion program or All But Dissertation (ABD) program later down the track.

Curriculum Requirements

Courses selected for the non-thesis option are intended to provide depth of study in a particular area of interest. The curriculum is designed such that the student has broad selectivity over their coursework. Students are required to select at least 21 credit hours of coursework from IE courses, and are recommended to take at least 6 credit hours from a related area.

Credit Requirements for a Non-Thesis Master's Degree

Have at least 30 total graduate credit hours, which must include:

• 21 credit hours of IE course work; and,

A student might decide to take a thesis track if she/he wants to pursue a Ph.D. Also, if the students want to focus on careers where research and writing have a strong focus, the students opt for the thesis option. Research assistantships at the graduate level are also more often available to students who opt for the thesis option.

A student who might feel that writing is not one of their strengths might choose to go the non-thesis track. Likewise, a student who has other work commitments may find a non-thesis option more convenient.

Do you have any tips for deciding on a program?

I chose a thesis option because being able to conduct independent research was a big reason to go to graduate school. Also, showing the ability that I could do research was what afforded me research assistantships which meant that my tuition was paid for and I got a stipend that paid for expenses while I was in graduate school. This also allowed me the opportunity to work closely with the faculty mentor that provided me with the support and the accountability I wanted.

I would not recommend taking a non-thesis option if all the degree requires is for you to take courses. You have little to show in terms of your learning other than your grades unless you are already working on something on the side that does that for you and all you need is a certificate.

Opt for a non-thesis option if you can still work closely with a professor or on a project and if you'd rather be involved in multiple projects rather than focus on a single project. If you already have a good (informed) reason for choosing one over the other, go for it.

What's the most important thing to consider when choosing a program?

The most important thing to consider when choosing a program is getting excited about the projects that at least one of the faculty members are involved in. Do some research and see why you are excited about a particular work that at least one of the faculty members have been involved in.

Who should students talk to when considering options?

Students should talk to other students and also reach out directly to the graduate coordinator and even individual faculty members. This means that students should have done prior homework and have some good questions ready. Asking good questions will get you at least halfway through to make the right decision.

Teen walks at graduation after completing doctoral degree at 17

Dorothy Jean Tillman II was 10 when she entered college as a freshman.

A teenager from Chicago walked in her graduation ceremony this month after earning her doctoral degree at 17.

Dorothy Jean Tillman II told " Good Morning America " that she was homeschooled in her early years before entering college at age 10.

In 2020, she said she earned a Master of Science degree, and then, one year later, at age 15, was accepted into the Doctorate of Behavioral Health Management program at Arizona State University.

In December 2023, at 17, Tillman successfully defended her dissertation to earn her doctoral degree in integrated behavioral health from ASU's College of Health Solutions.

On May 6, she walked at ASU's spring commencement ceremony.

Tillman told "GMA" she has always held education in such high regard in part due to her family's background.

"People in my life like my grandmother, who was part of the Civil Rights movement, she of course harped on the importance of education and consistently learning something always," Tillman said. "But the way I always held education so high on my own, aside from being raised that way, was finding different things to be educated about."

She continued, "I feel like that urge to learn something new just never didn't exist for me."

Dr. Lesley Manson, a clinical associate professor at ASU, told "GMA" that Tillman is the youngest person in school history to earn a doctoral degree in integrated behavioral health.

Manson said she oversaw Tillman's dissertation for the doctoral program offered through ASU Online.

During her studies, Tillman wrote a journal article of her dissertation and completed an internship at a university student health center, according to Manson.

"She really led change and worked on different forms of management to really reduce healthcare stigma and improve that student population there to be able to enter and accept student health services," she said of Tillman. "It was wonderful to see her and help her navigate some of those personal and professional interactions and grow through those experiences."

Manson described Tillman as an "inquisitive" and "innovative" student, and emphasized just how rare it is to accomplish what she has so far.

"It's a wonderful celebration ... but this is still something so rare and unique," she said. "She has innovative ideas and motivation, which is wonderful, and truly, I think what is inspiring is that she embodies that meaning of being a true leader."

Manson said she hopes Tillman continues to inspire people with her love of learning, saying, "That curiosity is always there, and I think all learners come with that, but it's great to be able to see it in someone so young as well."

Her inspiration and how she gives back to community

Tillman said her own journey wouldn't be possible without the support of her mom, who she said is one of her biggest motivators.

"Seeing my mother consistently work so hard to continuously uphold our family's legacy, and be that person that everyone was able to go to, if they needed anything ... always seeing [her] like [a] 'wonder woman' definitely made me want to grow up [into] an accomplished person," she said.

An advocate for education, Tillman is also the founder and CEO of a leadership institute that emphasizes the arts and STEM.

"I feel like adding art and putting a focus on it throughout science, technology, engineering and math makes the kids excited to learn all those things," she said. "And it opens them up to all of the possibilities and all the knowledge provided in that area of just STEM."

As for her plans after graduation, Tillman said she is "just like any other teenager, still figuring out what my specific dreams and goals are."

"I'm really just grateful that the world is my oyster, and that I've done so much so young," she said. "And I have time to kind of think that through."

Tillman added that she hopes young people will take away from her story that it's OK to continually figure out what you want to do in life.

"Always remember that everyone has points in their life where they feel like they're figuring it out," she said. "And so figuring things out, not knowing what you want isn't a bad thing. But making the choice not to sit down and try to figure it out is."

Hennessy Master Blender's Selection No. 5 Brings Artisan Craft To An Exclusive Brand

I magine having a lot of high-quality materials that just aren't right for a particular job. That's an issue Hennessy faces on a regular basis. The storied cognac blender buys up vast amounts of "eau-de-vie" -- which is the unaged distilled spirit brandies and cognacs are made from. Sampled by a panel of master tasters, the eau-de-vie are selected by batch to blended together and age into the final Hennessy products.

Given its popularity, you can expect Hennessy needs to buy lots of eau-de-vie. However, not all make the cut. There's nothing wrong with the batches that don't go on to become Hennessy XO , V.S. or V.S.O.P. -- they may in fact, be wonderful eau-de-vies. They're just not what Hennessy's master blenders are looking for. Normally, these unselected eau-de-vies just don't fit the flavor profile of the classic product -- allegedly, Hennessy V.S.O.P. has tasted the same since when King George IV requested a "very superior old pale" back in the 18th century. 

When Hennessey has high-quality (leftover) eau-de-vie on its hands, the company won't waste or resell it. Instead, it lets its master blenders go wild, and create something unique from the better samples they've tasted. This is where Hennessy's "Master Blender" editions are born from. Every once in awhile, these blends emerge into the world of cognac, and at a recent Hennesy event, we were fortunate enough to have a taste of the Selection No. 5.

Some recommendations are based on first-hand impressions of promotional materials and products provided by the manufacturer/distributor/etc.

What Is The Master Blender's Edition?

This isn't the first time Hennessy has put together a single batch of special cognac. As its name suggests, Master Blender's Selection No. 5 is the fifth time version where unused eaux-de-vies have been mixed together to create a one-off celebration of blending prowess. It's predecessor, the appropriately titled Master Blender's Selection No. 4, had similar tasting notes, especially in relation to the orange flavors present.

No. 5 is still a unique mix that won't be replicated by the company in future. The first Master Blender's edition was released in 2016, and Hennessy has used the concept as a way to celebrate the distilleries it works with ever since. This spirit was crafted under the watchful eye of Hennessy Master Blender Renaud Fillioux de Gironde, an eight-generation blender whose family has determined the taste of Hennessy's output since the company was founded.

According to the company's information, the blend consists of an eaux-de-vies that combines products from 18 different distilleries, each family operated and exclusively partnered with Hennessy. After selection, the eaux-de-vie is seven-years matured in French oak barrels. The goal behind Gironde's chosen blend was to highlight the artisans that make up the selection, and sure enough, there is a uniqueness to this bottle that feels hand crafted. This is the first release of a Hennessy Master Blender's Selection in three years.

Availability And Price

This is a limited-run blend. If you do want to grab a bottle or two for your collection, then expect to find the 750 milliliter version on sale for around $99. In terms of pricing, it's around double what you may pay for a bottle of Hennessy's standard V.S.O.P should you manage to find one on the lower-end of the pricing spectrum. 

However, in terms of exact scarcity, the cost of sleeping on this bottle might be a bit more costly. Although you may find it hanging around for some time, this isn't an expression Hennessy will recreate once those stocks run out. Logically, the company will move on to Master Blender's Selection No. 6 instead. As a reputable international brand, only a certain portion of the limited production is coming to the United States. 

Currently, Hennessy does have the option to get a bottle shipped from its website. That said, a cursory search shows that option is limited based on state regulations. The same can be said for online alcohol retailers. In person, your best bet to locate this bottle will be a specialty liquor store or in the duty-free section of a major airport.

How Does It Taste?

On the nose, Hennessy promises spice, cocoa, and candied orange. In my experience it does deliver there. On tasting, the initial flavor is noticeably sweeter than standard Hennessy, before plateauing for a little while. This middle ground is where you'll taste some very prevalent oak notes, and it's a welcome detour before you finally make your way towards a pleasantly fruity finish. Orange is certainly the most standout fruit flavor, though there are definitely hints of other citrus popping in throughout your journey.

In terms of alcohol content, at 43% Master Blender's Selection No. 5 has a touch more bite than standard Hennessy, and is the only one from the cognac maker that's bottled at this percentage. That doesn't translate to harshness; the blend is mellower than standard Hennessy, and Hennessy already isn't in any way harsh. Master Blender's No. 5 sits calmly on the tongue and guides the drinker through a delightful little range of flavors rather than blasting them with everything in quick succession.

Beyond its flavor, it's unique in the aroma, which is earthy, rich, and grounded. The most important thing about Master Blender's Selection No. 5 still holds true: It's a very nice cognac.

What Foods Can You Pair It With?

Like most other cognacs, Hennessy's Master Blender's Selection No. 5 will do very well with strongly flavored and fatty cheeses . Think Roquefort, or Stilton. Something heavy and creamy that requires a hefty amount of alcohol, a little sweetness, and some strong flavors if you want to cut through it. So if you need something a little stronger than wine to go with a pungent cheese, then this could be a perfect pairing.

Dark chocolate also goes surprisingly well with this blend. It's usually something I have on hand when sampling Scotch, but the fruitiness on offer with this cognac works well with the dry, waxy, bitterness of something heavy in the cocoa department. Whether that's in a dessert or a cocoa rubbed steak is your decision.

If Christmas is a special occasion for you, and requires a special spirit, then you could always use Master Blender's Edition No. 5 to light your Christmas pudding. You will have to blend it into a little butter before basting it onto the pudding though, and it is advisable to use something a bit cheaper for that purpose. For a less destructive use, and one that will again make use of the strong orange flavors present in the liquid, consider using Master Blender's Edition No. 5 instead of rum when looking for something to soak a cake in.

How To Drink Hennessy Master Blender's Selection No. 5

While Hennessy Master Blender's Selection No. 5 can be used in a wide manner of beverages, I'd recommend enjoying it the same way I did. Pour a little in a snifter or similar funneled glass, savor its scents, and take small sips, allowing the spirit to work its way across your tongue. Take a few sips of water from a separate glass to cleanse your palate in between sips. This allows you to work your way through the cognac's layers of complexity and discover everything it has to offer. The first sip is always a warm-up anyway.

In terms of cocktails, I'd recommend anything that requires cognac and has an orange or citrus twist. So a Sidecar is obviously the first mixed drink that springs to mind, though a non-whisky hot toddy may also work. As Master Blender's Selection No. 5 is a cognac, a Sazerac is also a solid shout -- and may be the best way to celebrate this unique spirit while adding a bit of a Mardi Gras twist. Enjoying Master Blender's Edition as part of a cocktail a way won't allow you to work your way through it's flavors in the same manner, but sometimes a bit of additional liquid will open a spirit up in new ways. At the very least, you'll get to experience Hennessy's limited liquor in a mix that compliments a lot of its core elements.

Master Blender's Selection No. 5 Vs. Hennessy V.S.O.P

You may be wondering how it compares to the Hennessey products you're likely already familiar with. When compared to standard Hennessy's best seller, its V.S.O.P., Master Blender's Selection No. 5 is very much a case of sweet apples and oranges. As in you don't get those apple notes you tend to get with the French company's flagship blend, and receive prevalent orange notes instead. The two spirits are very different, and are a great demonstrator of how much range you can get with something like cognac.

The scents you'll encounter when nosing both spirits is equally different. Again, the V.S.O.P. is heavy on the apple notes and has far less spice than its limited edition sibling. It's special, but something many of us are used to. Master Blender's No. 5 is a spicy, orangey, treat that is equally worthy of both a humid summer afternoon staring out at some water, and a festive evening by the fire. It feels like a bit of an occasion drink, like something that will set the mood.

In terms of pricing, it's unlikely to come as a surprise that the single-batch, limited run, stuff is more expensive. Hennessy V.S.O.P. will usually set you back between $50 and $70 depending on where you are and the liquor store you're purchasing it from. Compared to the price point of $100 for the Master Blender's Selection No. 5, the cost is relatively comparable.

Is It Worth It?

Even though the Master Blender's Selection series is not a completely fresh concept overall, having a new iteration in the form of the No. 5 — especially after three years — is exciting. It's always going to be intriguing to taste something new from a legacy, luxury brand like Hennessy. But along with a build-up of anticipation comes the chance that the final product can let you down even harder. In the case of this bottle, however, it's a hit. 

If you're a Hennessy connoisseur, then the Master Blender's Selection No. 5 is going to be on your must-taste list. Both the aroma and flavor offer a distinctness that separates it from other cognac's in the maker's lineup and the larger market. It's a smooth, easy-drinker, whether you want to sip it neat or pair it with a small nosh. Consuming it imparts a sense of careful craft. Plus, there's an interesting story behind it, the bottle looks good on the shelf, and at $100, it's a nice bottle that won't crash the bank.

Plus, there's a degree of collectability to the Master Blender's Selection series. Some people have an penitence for completing sets, and this is the latest part of what will be an increasingly scarce line from a prestigious company in the liquor trade. As nice as it tastes, there's as much an argument for not drinking it as there is for working your way through the bottle. Liquor can be a very good investment sometimes.

Man Who Made $5M From Selling Stolen Masters Mementos Pleads Guilty

Normally the golf world doesn't hear much about Augusta National Golf Club in the months between Masters tournaments. This year is different, it would seem.

On Wednesday, former Augusta warehouse assistant Robert Globensky pled guilty to one count of transporting goods knowing they had been stolen after a 13-year scheme involving Masters merchandise. Globensky faces up to 10 years in prison, according to the Associated Press .

Per the AP, Globensky formerly worked as a warehouse assistant at the famous golf course. For nearly a decade beginning in 2009, he took Masters merchandise from the warehouse to sell and transport them to Florida, where a third party would sell it online. Globensky's scheme was quite lucrative; he made roughly $5 million from the sales.

Items sold ranged from casual merchandise, like T-shirts, hats, mugs, and chairs, to items of real historical significance. One of Arnold Palmer's green jackets was listed as an item stolen and sold, as well as tickets to Masters tournaments in the 1930s.

Scottie Scheffler was the winner of this year's Masters tournament , marking his second victory at Augusta.

Song of the Day -- 'DAY BY DAY' came from a master's thesis

Microsoft, Dell Computers, and Facebook weren’t the only successes created in a dorm room.

John-Michael Tebelak wrote the musical “Godspell” in 1970 as a master’s thesis as a student at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.

The play debuted off Broadway May 17, 1971. It ran for over 2000 performances, making it one of the longest-running off-Broadway plays.

In 1976, the play graduated to Broadway where it stayed for 14 months and 527 performances . “Godspell” returned to Broadway in 2011 and ran for nearly 300 performances.

Tebelak’s “Godspell” followed in the footsteps of the popular musical “Hair.” The story was based on parables, mostly from the Gospel of Matthew.

“Godspell” revisits the idea of Jesus as a revolutionary figure, according to the Berkshire Theatre Group.  

“His plan was to re-approach the Biblical parables and text with the innocence of a child, and to play with the material as if it was a school recess,” according to another writer.

Stephen Schwartz, a Carnegie Mellon alum who wrote the music for “Pippin” and “Wicked”, was asked to come up with new music when the play moved from Pittsburgh to New York. He was given five weeks.

Our Song of the Day, “Day by Day,” was the biggest hit.

The song was released as a single in 1972. It peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100.
