Paragraph on Visit to a Farmhouse- by Anand

Introduction:

A visit to a farmhouse is always relaxing and fun. I had an opportunity to visit the farmhouse of my grandparents last summer.

The farmhouse was located in the outskirts of the city, near the beach.

I had never been to a farmhouse before and hence I was very excited to go there. Me and my brother set out for the farmhouse on a hot weekend.

The Farmhouse:

The farmhouse was located in the most ideal spot one could imagine. It was surrounded by tall trees which provided adequate shade. And the sea was just a stone throws’ away. The farmhouse was the only structure in that area. It was a large faint yellow house with a slanting roof. There was a small lawn and a garage as well. We parked the car and went inside.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

My grandfather had kept a boy to take care of the farmhouse who had done a splendid job. The house was good as new and was very well furnished. There was a rocking chair in the balcony and a wall painting of my grandparents hung in the living room. We unpacked and then rushed off to the beach.

A warm and muggy day was the perfect weather combination to go to the beach. The water of the sea was crystal clear and deep blue in colour. There was not a bit of sea weed in our sight. As one listens to the sound of the waves roaring and the breezy wind of the sea brushing by, you can spot boats sailing in the deep seas. I looked around and realized that there were hardly any people on the beach except us.

The Dive and Swim:

As the white sand burned under our feet, we took a deep breath of fresh air. We put the sunscreen on our bodies and ran towards the water. We dived through the thumping wave and the cold water rushed down the whole of our bodies. We then bounced back up to the surface. This cycle repeated itself several times. It was relieving to face the cool sea water after being in the warm weather for a long time. We swam for quite some time and then returned to the farmhouse.

The Lunch and Afternoon Siesta:

We were tired and hungry from the swimming. We sat down on the plastic chairs and the house boy got us some amazing seafood. We had prawn and lobster for lunch which was very delicious and fulfilling. We ate to our heart’s content, rested for some time and enjoyed the view of the place from the balcony of the farmhouse. It looked so beautiful and serene. We went down and collapsed on the two hammocks which were put up for us by the boy.

Conclusion:

The visit to the farmhouse was a welcome break out of all of our hectic schedules and me and my brother enjoyed it to the full extent. Though I was unhappy when we had to return home in the evening, we decided to return back to the farmhouse again very soon.

However, as Sahib’s presence improves Sheetal’s life, Sahib’s own world starts falling apart. Despite her best intentions Sheetal innocently causes a storm in his life. A story highlighting the basis of conflict in human relations, and its inevitability. Even when everyone is trying to do the right thing, life still forces them to face unexpected trials and tribulations. A lesson that love is the mother of all conflicts, even hatred is rooted in love, perhaps too much love for someone else.
