Can You Convert a PDF to a Word Doc?
The question: can you convert a PDF to a Microsoft Word doc file? The answer: absolutely. This conversion can be accomplished by a few different methods, but here’s one easy — and high-quality — method.
First off, what is a PDF? It’s a computer file type and the three letters are an acronym for “Portable Document Format.” That’s a pretty good description of what a PDF is and what it’s used for. PDFs were developed in the early 1990s by Adobe with the intention of creating a standard method for creating, opening, sharing and printing digitized documents. Opening and viewing the contents of a PDF is easy today. Some web browsers have the ability to open PDF files, or you might use a dedicated PDF viewer such as Adobe’s free Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. What you can’t do with a web browser or Acrobat Reader DC however is convert a PDF into another file format, like a Microsoft Word file. However, with a copy of some other software, this conversion is easy to do. Let’s explore how.

Open Adobe Acrobat DC and Your PDF
For this method, you’ll need a working copy of Adobe Acrobat DC (different from Acrobat Reader, which is merely a PDF viewer). Acrobat DC allows for the editing of PDFs as well as viewing. Once you have a copy of Adobe Acrobat DC, converting a PDF to a Word file is simple.
First off, launch Adobe Acrobat DC.
Click File, and then choose Open.
Use Windows Explorer to locate the PDF file that you wish to convert.
Select the candidate PDF file, and click Open.
(Optionally, you could simple navigate to the candidate PDF first in Windows Explorer, and then double-click it to both launch Adobe Acrobat DC and open the file.)
Choose a Conversion Process
Before you can convert the PDF, you’ll need to choose what type of Microsoft Word document you’d like. From the File menu, choose Export To. From the many available options, choose Microsoft Word. From that menu, there are two options offered: Word Document, or Word 97-2003 Document. For most uses, the Word Document choice will work, as this converts the PDF into a modern “.docx” file. The Word 97-2003 Document choice converts the PDF into the older “.doc” file type — sometimes useful for legacy purposes if you have a specific need for the older document file type.
Make the Conversion
Now you can actually convert the PDF. Enter a name for your new Word document, and choose Save. The computer may need a few moments to think before it finishes its work. When it’s done, you should have an editable, high-quality Microsoft Word document file based off of the contents of the original PDF.

Option 2: Using Microsoft Word
Here’s one other option that can work if you don’t have a copy of Adobe Acrobat DC, but do own Microsoft Word 2013 or higher. Open Microsoft Word first (that’s important), and then open the PDF file you’d like to convert. Microsoft Word will automatically make a copy of your PDF file (preserving the original) and perform a conversion process on the copy, resulting in a finished Word file. One possible downside to this method is that Microsoft Word may introduce minor inconsistencies into your new document; it works best on PDF files that contain mostly text.

The aim of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is to restore one of the most critical resources for businesses’ sustainability: trust. However, the current practice of CSR begs the question whether CSR initiatives restore trust or simply relieve mistrust in the marketplace. Because people do not really understand what trust implies, they often use CSR activities as publicity stunts, trying to please the public. In particular, they perceive trust as a means of supporting organisational activities rather than a goal of its own. Following Rabbi Elchanan Wasserman, we trust those who fully commit to their goals and are ready to take responsibility for all consequences. Trust is a voluntary and altruistic act and independent of society. Trust, ethics and leadership are interlinked. Leadership requires choosing between two good options according to our Theta-Lambda worldview. Thetas are socially-motivated and seek affiliation and security whereas Lambdas are personally-motivated and seek challenge and achievement. Pursuing these worldviews helps us get closer to the ethical truth, and it is this self-investment in pursuing truth which builds trust.A review of various CSR theories shows that organizational CSR seeks a similar outcome, that is to demonstrate the responsibilities which the organisation is ready to assume.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) received substantial attention since 1950s. The development of CSR subsequently gain a foothold in both business and academic arenas. The wide acceptance of CSR is due to its chain benefits toward both shareholders and stakeholders. As the business world evolves with globalisation and advanced technology, CSR has developed into a multi-facet disciplinary subject. Consequently, CSR themes emerged from its development. The literatures reveal that there are many CSR themes developed in the human resource with employees being the stakeholder. Researcher further explained the evolution of employee focused CSR by relating to relevant theories namely Stakeholder Theory, Social Exchange Theory and Social Identity Theory. This paper aims to study the evolution of internal CSR by reviewing past and current literatures in order to provide an overview of internal CSR and shed light for a better understanding of its current vague definition. The paper concludes with the benefits of implementation internal CSR practices to enhance organisation performance through influencing employees’ behaviour.

This article examines the explicit and implicit corporate social responsibility (CSR) framework and its implications for leadership style, in a major banking institution. Evidence for existence of the framework’s key concepts in relation to leadership styles was explored through the self-reported sensemaking of leaders charged with CSR programme introduction. Qualitative data analysis indicated that explicit CSR is linked to an autocratic leadership style, whereas implicit CSR is more closely aligned with emergent and authentic styles. Although our results reinforced key aspects of the explicit and implicit CSR framework, they demonstrated conflicting systems of both CSR and leadership within our case organisation and highlighted the difficulty in categorising such a complex concept as CSR according to specific frameworks. Overall, our data suggest that the leadership styles, needed to successfully implement explicit and implicit CSR programmes, are in conflict. Given our finding that these CSR systems can coincide within one organisation, we suggest that the debating style of transformational leadership may be the required linchpin.

This paper reviewed different definitions of CSR and presented some summarised dimensions attributed to the definitions which represent the area of focus for the definitions including; Obligation to the society, stakeholders involvement, improving corporate image and reputation, economic development, ethical business practice, law abiding, voluntariness, human rights, environmental protection, transparency and accountability. The six core characteristics of CSR follows as the features which shows how CSR is represented with different initiatives and processes ranging from voluntary activities, managing external factors, stakeholder management, alignment of social and economic responsibilities, considering practices and values and finally extending CSR activities beyond philanthropy to instrumentality. The last segment of this paper elucidates on theoretical perspectives of CSR in six categories; the classical view, the legitimacy, stakeholder, agency, institutional, instrumental and Islamic CSR theories.

Managers play a vital role in helping organizations deal with various corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to stakeholders in communities. Despite the extant literature on CSR and its strategies undertaken by business companies, including multinational corporations (MNCs), little is known about the roles, attitudes, and competencies of CSR managers in executing their CSR tasks in the Malaysian context. This exploratory study investigates the relationship between the corresponding roles, attitudes, and competencies of CSR managers and the CSR orientations of economic, legal, ethical, and philanthropic responsibilities. The study involved 112 managers of CSR-implementing companies in the Klang Valley, a highly industrialized region in Malaysia. We found that the level of perception of roles and competencies of CSR managers is high whereas that for attitudes is moderate. Further, competency is found to be significantly correlated with all CSR 2 orientations. Recommendations for practice and future research on CSR managers are put forth.

This study sets out to develop a framework of organisational alignment and to make recommendations to improve South African mining organisations, a study which has to date not being undertaken. A thorough review of literature and an extensive questionnaire development phase resulted in the conceptualisation and operationalisation of a multidimensional construct of organisational alignment. Data was collected from 286 managers from a selection of all the major South African mining companies in the commodity sector on their perceptions of the degree of organisational alignment as well as the enablers of organisational alignment. Applying structural equation modelling, five of the eleven organisational alignment enabling factors indicated a unique influence of practical importance on perceived organisational alignment. The key contribution of the developed multidimensional organisational alignment 142 construct was, that it effectively incorporated a view on alignment that has to date not being at the forefront of mining organisation practices.
